I’m not at my goal yet—but y’all, I can do handstands! And that’s the point: my goal isn’t a number on the scale. It’s about feeling GOOD. Being strong, flexible, capable—for myself, my partner, my kids. I want to move through life (and off the floor) with ease.

We need muscle. That’s where the magic is—energy, metabolism, confidence. We need variety. We need movement that feels possible, not punishing. We need to start where we are, without shame, and just take the next inch forward.

Here’s what’s changed the game for me:

1. Modeling & Mindset Shifts

I grew up around yo-yo dieting. My parents figured it out later in life, and now I’m proud to be breaking the cycle for good. I don’t diet anymore—I HEAL. This includes food, yes, but also how I speak to myself, how I cope, and how I forgive. No more secretly binging fast food in the car. No more shame. Just progress.

2. Nutrition

No perfection here. Just intentionality. I’m done letting processed, dopamine-hacked foods run my life. I eat about 70–80% close-to-the-earth foods, and that shift alone is helping me reconnect with my body’s real signals. And yes—I still enjoy margaritas and dinner with friends. Balance over restriction, always.

3. Movement

Not every workout is intense. But I move. Whether it's Hotworx sauna workouts, walking, stretching, or dancing with my kids, I get my body in motion at least 3x/week—and I squeeze it in wherever I can. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be consistent.

4. Fasting

Intermittent fasting changed my life. I’ve studied the research (did my master’s thesis on it!), and the benefits go way beyond weight loss—hello, autophagy and reduced inflammation! Some days I fast for hours, some days I eat all day. It’s flexible, intuitive, and powerful.

Let me be clear: starvation mode is a myth. The science is there—fasting works when it’s done right.

5. Pharmaceutical Support

Yes, I use a GLP-1 medication. No, it’s not magic. But paired with the right habits, mindset, and support, it’s been a total game changer. It turned off the food noise just enough for me to finally hear myself. These tools are best used alongside a real plan for change.
